link2pump’s founders, Luciano Stertz and Filipe Borges, spent years building onboard computers for the trucking industry before they ever touched fuel management. It was that work, sitting with fleet operators and watching how their equipment actually ran, that surfaced the real problem: nobody had built smart fuel management for bulk tanks. So they did, alongside co-founder Bruno Lopes, whose read on where the market was headed turned that first idea into a company. The first unit went live in 2011 on a farm in southern Brazil.
From there, link2pump grew into a multinational company with a strong and growing presence across the US fleet industry. The principle never changed: fuel management should be simple enough to trust and smart enough to matter, no matter where a fleet operates.
We’re not a software company that added hardware, or a hardware company that bolted on a dashboard. link2pump is both, built together because fuel management only works when the tank and the platform speak the same language.
Today that means over 5,000 active units, 2+ billion gallons tracked a year, and 400,000+ vehicles running on link2pump across heavy construction, aggregates, transportation, and agriculture. But the standard hasn’t changed since that first unit went live: if it doesn’t make a fleet’s fuel easier to see, easier to trust, and easier to control, we don’t ship it.
