1. LIFETIME HARDWARE WARRANTY
1.1 Lifetime Warranty
link2pump warrants eligible link2pump Hardware against defects in materials, manufacturing, and normal operational failure for as long as the applicable link2pump software subscription associated with that Hardware remains active and paid (“Lifetime Warranty”).
The Lifetime Warranty is intended to provide customers with continued protection of their link2pump fuel management hardware throughout their active subscription relationship with link2pump, subject to the terms, exclusions, and RMA procedures described in this Policy.
1.2 Eligible link2pump Hardware
The Lifetime Warranty generally applies to hardware and components manufactured by or specifically supplied as part of the link2pump fuel management system, including, as applicable:
- link2pump controllers;
- link2pump pedestals;
- link2pump electronic control components;
- communication and connectivity components supplied as part of the link2pump system;
- antennas;
- RFID readers and related link2pump identification hardware;
- SafeTag readers, receivers, and related link2pump hardware;
- power supplies and internal electronic components; and other link2pump-manufactured or link2pump-branded components identified by link2pump as eligible Hardware.
link2pump may determine whether a particular component qualifies as eligible link2pump Hardware based on the applicable product configuration and Order Form.
1.3 Active Subscription Requirement
Lifetime Warranty coverage is available only while: (a) the applicable link2pump software subscription associated with the Hardware remains active; and (b) Customer’s applicable account is in good standing.
Expiration, cancellation, or termination of the associated subscription terminates Lifetime Warranty coverage for the associated Hardware.
Reactivation of a subscription does not automatically reinstate warranty coverage for hardware that failed, was damaged, or became defective while warranty coverage was inactive, unless link2pump agrees otherwise in writing.
1.4 Covered Failures
Subject to this Policy, the Lifetime Warranty covers failures resulting from defects in materials; defects in manufacturing; failure of covered electronic components during normal intended operation; and other hardware failures determined by link2pump to constitute a covered warranty condition.
1.5 Link2Pump Warranty Remedy
For an approved warranty claim, link2pump may, at its discretion: troubleshoot or remotely diagnose the Hardware; repair the affected Hardware; provide replacement parts or components; replace the affected Hardware with the same or a functionally equivalent product; or provide another commercially reasonable remedy.
Replacement Hardware may be new, refurbished, remanufactured, or functionally equivalent equipment, provided it is suitable for the intended link2pump application.
Where the original product or component has been discontinued or is no longer reasonably available, link2pump may provide a current functionally equivalent replacement.
1.6 Covered Warranty Costs
For approved Lifetime Warranty claims within the United States, link2pump will cover:
- covered replacement parts or Hardware; and
- standard outbound and return shipping associated with the approved warranty replacement.
Labor for removal, installation, or replacement of Hardware is not included in the Lifetime Warranty.
link2pump products are designed, where applicable, to allow straightforward field replacement of components, including plug-and-play replacement in certain configurations. link2pump will provide reasonable instructions and remote support to assist Customer personnel with replacement of covered Hardware.
If Customer requests on-site installation or replacement services from link2pump or a link2pump-authorized service provider, such services may be quoted separately.
For approved Lifetime Warranty claims outside the United States, link2pump will provide covered replacement parts or Hardware. Unless otherwise stated in an applicable Order Form or expressly agreed by link2pump, international freight, customs duties, import taxes, travel, and on-site field labor are the responsibility of Customer.
2. EQUIPMENT NOT COVERED BY THE LIFETIME WARRANTY
2.1 Third-Party Equipment
The link2pump Lifetime Warranty does not apply to equipment that is not manufactured by or designated by link2pump as eligible link2pump Hardware.
Examples may include fuel flow meters; solenoid valves; fuel pumps; dispensers; pump motors; tanks; hoses; nozzles other than link2pump-specific electronic components; third-party networking equipment; Customer-provided devices or equipment; and other petroleum, electrical, mechanical, or communications equipment manufactured by third parties.
Where link2pump supplies third-party equipment as part of a project, such equipment will generally be subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty, if any.
Where commercially reasonable, link2pump may assist Customer with a manufacturer warranty claim but does not extend the link2pump Lifetime Warranty to such third-party equipment.
2.2 Warranty Exclusions
The Lifetime Warranty does not cover failures, damage, or additional costs resulting from:
- improper installation not performed or authorized by link2pump;
- installation contrary to link2pump instructions;
- improper electrical supply, voltage, grounding, wiring, or power conditions;
- Customer site conditions that do not meet applicable link2pump product requirements;
- operation or storage outside the environmental or operating specifications published by link2pump for the applicable Hardware;
- misuse, abuse, negligence, vandalism, or intentional damage;
- accidents, vehicle impact, or other external physical damage;
- unauthorized modification, repair, opening, alteration, or tampering;
- use of the Hardware outside its intended purpose or published operating specifications;
- damage caused by Customer-selected contractors or other third parties;
- fire, flooding, natural disasters, or other external events that subject the Hardware to conditions outside its published environmental or operating specifications;
- failure of third-party telecommunications, cellular, Internet, GPS, API, software, or other services;
- ordinary cosmetic wear that does not materially affect functionality;
- loss or theft; or
- any other condition determined through reasonable diagnosis not to result from a covered Hardware failure.
For clarity, exposure to outdoor weather, temperature, humidity, or other environmental conditions within the published specifications for the applicable link2pump Hardware will not, by itself, exclude the Hardware from Lifetime Warranty coverage.
2.3 Technology and Network Changes
The Lifetime Warranty does not guarantee that existing Hardware will remain compatible indefinitely with third-party technologies, networks, wireless carriers, communications standards, APIs, regulatory requirements, or other external systems.
If an external technology or network is discontinued, sunset, or materially changed and replacement or upgraded Hardware becomes necessary, link2pump may offer an upgrade or replacement on commercially reasonable terms.
Such technology migration is not considered a Hardware defect solely because existing Hardware is no longer compatible with the changed third-party technology.
3. RMA PROCESS
3.1 Contact Link2Pump Support
Before returning or replacing Hardware, Customer must contact link2pump Support and provide information reasonably requested to diagnose the issue. link2pump may require Customer and site information, affected device or controller identification, serial number, description of the issue, photographs or video, diagnostic information, remote access where reasonably appropriate, and troubleshooting steps already performed.
3.2 Troubleshooting
link2pump may perform remote troubleshooting before authorizing an RMA. Customer agrees to reasonably cooperate with troubleshooting procedures intended to determine whether the issue relates to link2pump Hardware, installation, site infrastructure, third-party equipment, communications, configuration, software, or another cause.
3.3 RMA Authorization
Hardware should not be returned to link2pump without prior authorization. If link2pump determines that repair or replacement is appropriate, link2pump will issue an RMA authorization or otherwise provide instructions for replacement or return.
3.4 Advance Replacement
Where reasonably practical, link2pump may ship replacement Hardware before receiving the affected Hardware to minimize Customer downtime. link2pump may require Customer to return the affected Hardware within a specified period following receipt of the replacement.
3.5 Return of Failed Hardware
Where link2pump requests return of failed Hardware, link2pump will provide reasonable return instructions and, for approved domestic warranty claims, will provide standard return shipping. Customer must reasonably package returned Hardware to prevent shipping damage and include any information requested by link2pump.
3.6 Failure to Return Hardware
If link2pump provides an advance replacement and Customer fails to return the requested Hardware within the return period specified by link2pump, link2pump may charge Customer for the replacement Hardware.
3.7 Non-Warranty Findings
If inspection or diagnosis determines that the issue is not covered by the Lifetime Warranty, link2pump will inform Customer. link2pump may offer repair, replacement, installation, or other services at Customer’s expense. Where practical, link2pump will obtain Customer approval before performing material chargeable work.
4. 30-DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE
4.1 Guarantee
link2pump wants Customers to be confident in their investment. Unless otherwise stated in the applicable Order Form, eligible Customers may return eligible link2pump Hardware within thirty (30) days following delivery for a refund of the purchase price of the returned Hardware, subject to this Policy (“30-Day Money-Back Guarantee”).
4.2 Eligibility
To qualify for the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee:
- Customer must notify link2pump of its decision to return the Hardware within thirty (30) days following delivery;
- returned Hardware must be substantially complete;
- Hardware must not have been materially damaged, abused, altered, or modified;
- Customer must follow link2pump’s return authorization instructions; and
- Customer must return the Hardware within the return period specified by link2pump after authorization.
Normal inspection, testing, installation, or reasonable evaluation of the Hardware will not by itself disqualify a return, provided the Hardware has not been materially damaged.
4.3 What Is Refunded
For an approved return under the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee, link2pump will refund the amount actually paid for eligible returned link2pump Hardware.
4.4 Non-Refundable Costs
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee does not refund installation labor already performed; commissioning services already performed; training already delivered; engineering or integration services already performed; custom development; site surveys or professional services; Customer-requested expedited freight; work performed on Customer-owned or third-party equipment; third-party equipment that cannot reasonably be returned to its manufacturer; or other services already delivered.
Subscription fees are governed by the applicable Order Form and link2pump Terms and Conditions and are not converted into refundable fees solely because Customer returns Hardware under this Guarantee.
4.5 Custom or Special-Order Equipment
Custom-manufactured, specially configured, modified, or non-standard equipment may be excluded from the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee where identified as non-returnable in the applicable Order Form.
4.6 Return Shipping
For voluntary returns under the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee, Customer is responsible for return shipping and for reasonably packaging the Hardware to prevent damage during transit.
link2pump is responsible for standard shipping associated with approved domestic Lifetime Warranty and RMA claims as provided in Section 1.6.
5. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer is responsible for using Hardware in accordance with link2pump documentation and intended operating conditions; maintaining a safe and suitable operating environment; maintaining functioning pumps, electrical systems, connectivity, and other Customer infrastructure; preventing unauthorized modification or tampering; notifying link2pump reasonably promptly after discovering a potential Hardware failure; reasonably cooperating with troubleshooting and RMA procedures; and ensuring that installation and service work performed by Customer-selected contractors complies with link2pump requirements and applicable law.
6. LIMITATIONS
This Policy provides the specific Hardware warranty remedies offered by link2pump and is subject to the warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, exclusions of consequential damages, and other limitations contained in the link2pump Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in this Policy expands link2pump’s liability beyond the limitations contained in the Agreement.
Except as expressly provided in this Policy and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, link2pump disclaims all other express or implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
7. POLICY UPDATES
link2pump may update this Policy from time to time in accordance with the change provisions contained in the link2pump Terms and Conditions.
Material changes will not materially reduce warranty rights applicable to eligible Hardware during an existing committed Subscription Term except where reasonably required by law, safety, security, product discontinuation, third-party dependency, or circumstances outside link2pump’s reasonable control.
